[Announcement] Indefinite Hiatus

Did you know that this blog now holds one full year of Gothic & Lolita prompts? Oh yes.

Unfortunately, it is now time for me to retire. By some twist of fate, it was just months after I’d started this blog that I finally made the decision to let go of Lolita. I didn’t want to abandon this new project so early, so I decided that after a year of creating new prompts, I would stop. Now that this year is over, I’d like to take some time away from all things Lolita for a breath of fresh air. I may or may not resume posting prompts in the future.

All of you followers, and whoever else stumbles upon this blog in the future, now have a year’s worth of prompts to flip through, should you ever be hit with writer’s block. I hope you enjoy them! Please continue to post links to your responses in the comments of each prompt that you fill.

If there’s ever a prompt you’re dying to see listed, please feel free to leave a comment here, and I’ll do my best to get it posted! I will still receive email notifications.

What advice would you give a new person who is nervous about becoming a Lolita, Aristocrat, Kodona, etc.? Or, should everyone learn their own lessons?

These days, the online Lolita community appears to have migrated from Livejournal to Facebook. Do you think the community has changed as a result, or is it basically the same? Perhaps you haven’t noticed any migration at all?

How has the Lolita community changed since you became a part of it? Where do you see Lolita heading in the future in terms of community and networking?

What do you think about posting photos of your outfits online, or photos of meetups? Is it a crucial part of belonging to the Lolita community, or does it seem too attention-seeking?

Have you ever been involved in or witnessed drama break out because of some photos posted online? Perhaps there are times when photos should be left unshared…?

Have you ever gone shopping at a famous Lolita/Gothic/Punk brand’s boutique? What was you first reaction to walking through the doors and seeing all those clothes? Tell us about your experience! It doesn’t necessarily have to be about a trip to Japan or even to Tokyo.

If you haven’t been to such a shop yet, which shops would you like to visit some day?
